Walls & Floors

These wall and floor patterns were made for an unreleased casual mobile game. The patterns were created in Photoshop and imported into Unity. The player could mix and match patterns as well as change the colors of the patterns in-game.

Lead Zeppelin - Unity Game Demo

 Spring 2012

Lead Zeppelin is a small, but challenging game that I worked on with two other people.  In the game, you take control of a blimp in a hostile mountain range.  Points are awarded for quick completion and for destroying enemy strongholds.

I handled the game's overall design and level structure, art design, models, textures, blimp controls, and wrote some C# scripts for environmental obstacles, including the lightning, boulders, and balloon-bombs.  Click the link below to play the game.

The Floor is Lava - Unity Game Demo

Spring 2012

I worked on this game over the course of about a month with six other people in my Game Design as a Cultural Practice class at Georgia Tech.  Based on the old childhood imagination game, you play as a boy navigating a furniture store.  As a unique twist, you're also able to change to environment into 'Ice Mode'.  Furniture and throwable 'platform-pillows' have different physics in Ice Mode as opposed to Lava Mode.  If the player falls into the lava/ice water, the boy's imagination dissipates and the department store returns to normal, forcing the player to start at the last Checkpoint Couch.

On this project, I worked primarily on the game design and play mechanics.  I spearheaded the Ice Mode inclusion, designed pillow and surface mechanics, and outlined different ways in which the two modes could be used in tandem.

In addition to design work, I illustrated concept art and 2D isometric views for the main character and handled textures for the furniture.

Mermaids Fish Concepts and Low-Polygon Models

 Fall 2012

These are some fish that I conceptualized and modeled in Maya for Celia Pearce's Emergent Game Group at Georgia Tech.  They were used in Mermaids, an MMO game in Unity that I worked on with about 13 other people.  In addition to these concepts, I also wrote a design document outlining how to tame and manage certain utilitarian fish for use throughout the game's underwater environments.

Chandelier Jellyfish

This creature can illuminate darkened areas. In addition to
conceptualizing, modeling, and animating, I assisted in rigging and
weighting the Jellyfish as well.  I also wrote some short scripts in
C# that would toggle the Jellyfish's central and tentacle lights.

Excavator Crab

A seafloor-dwelling creature that could be used to dig for buried treasure

Lockjaw Fish

This creature could imprison people or hide treasure.
